This course is an opportunity for Division III students whose projects contain a significant element of creative writing - in whatever genre, including fiction, poetry, dramaturgy, popular ethnography, lyric essay, memoir, etc - to share their work with others, bring their Divisions III to a successful close, and reflect jointly on the possible meanings of ‘community’ for writers, whose work so often necessarily unfolds in private. Students will present work to the workshop two times, and each student will make a 'prospectus' for their Division 3. For the final weeks of the semester, students will meet in smaller workshop groups to consider pieces of their choice.
