Create artwork in the graphic language of printmaking, working in woodcut, monotype, drypoint, and more experimental methods. Learn to pull prints on the small etching press as well as transfer techniques that do not require special equipment. Develop an understanding of the history of these processes as a way to disseminate ideas and images. In addition to studio projects students will have an exchange of prints, view works in the collection of a museum and have a visiting artist critic. The course will culminate in a self-directed project.
