Description:
Students engage in the global community and explore themselves, talents, motivations and dreams to realize new ways to address social needs and change through enterprise development. Grounded in experiential learning, this class is a balance of theory, hands-on learning, best practices and skills building. Students actively engage in either creating a social enterprise or supporting an existing one with a particular business challenge. Class includes guest speakers, field trips, and lots of outside classroom opportunities to engage in the larger business community, and compete for grants and funding for real projects. No prior entrepreneurship or business experience is necessary. All students will complete and present an enterprise case study and best practices.
